Cumnor Construction Ltd. carried out the role of Works Contractor and PSCS for this project.
The project involved the construction of a two-storey building. Construction was in blockwork with reinforced concrete, steel and timber structural elements. External materials included zinc cladding, curtain wall glazing, natural stone cladding and rendered walls. Large roller shutter doors were added to the boathouse. Roof finishes included a zinc-clad roof, a flat roof with decking and two Sedum roofs.
Internal accommodation included a large boathouse, changing rooms and showers, training room, office and operations room. External work included the building of boundary walls in sandstone/valentia slate to match existing 19th-century lime mortar stonework. Tegula paving with decorative kerbs and concrete paving were installed also. Substantial landscaping was carried out with a large number of semi-mature trees and shrubs planted.
