Contract Details:

Cumnor Construction Ltd. carried out the role of Works Contractor and PSCS for this project.

The project comprised of the extension and refurbishment of an existing three storey hotel located in Cork City centre. The hotel remained open for business while the works were being completed.

The project included the provision of thirty-two additional bedrooms, conference facilities, five meeting rooms, bistro/café, retail unit, function rooms, a spa centre, open decked area, penthouse area, lift and ancillary accommodation comprising a total of four storeys.

The contract involved significant demolition, piling, steel framework and stabilising works within a very restricted area. The work also consisted of modifications to existing elevations and plans, the rebuilding of the roof structure to provide developed roof space, the construction of a fire stair-core extension and additional floor area.
