Cumnor Construction Ltd. carried out the role of Works Contractor and PSCS for this project.

The project began with the demolition of a single storey building to the rear of the existing three storey Garda building. Next, the three storey building was renovated entirely. This work involved a full refurbishment including adding partitions, ceilings and new flooring. Mechanical and electrical works were carried out throughout the building. A new three storey pitched roof extension was constructed.

The refurbished Garda station accommodated a public office, interview rooms, reception, duty sergeant’s office, consultation room, fitness suite, male/female locker room, toilets, kitchen, office accommodation and a radio room. The extension also allowed for the provision of a lift. Site works including soft and hard landscaping, upgrading of the drainage system and associated ancillary works.

Noise and Traffic management plans were prepared by Cumnor Construction Ltd and approved by An Garda Síochána.
