Contract Details

Cumnor Construction Ltd. carried out the role of Works Contractor and PSCS for this project.

The project involved the fit-out and refurbishment of an existing office building. The first floor of this building was occupied for the duration of the work. The contract consisted of demolition, the installation of new partitions and joinery,  new floor finishes, internal decoration and office equipment. Alterations to the existing mechanical and electrical installations were required. A new ventilation system was added to the roof.

The work was carried out in a live office environment that necessitated being sensitive to the working arrangements of the client. The contract was completed in phases. As the building was occupied, communal areas had to be kept clean at all times, escape routes kept clear and noise level restrictions adhered to. Out of hours’ work was carried out when required so as not to disrupt the daily operation of this live office.
