Ballybunion Castle Conservation Works

CLIENT: Kerry County Council

LOCATION: Ballybunion Castle, Co. Kerry

CONTRACT DETAILS

Specialist conservation works carried out at Ballybunion Castle, a nationally significant monument dating back to the 16th century. The project focused on stabilising and preserving the remaining 12-metre-high masonry wall through careful vegetation removal, heritage grouting, lime mortar repointing and masonry repairs. Delivered within a busy tourist setting, the works required bespoke scaffolding design and close coordination to protect both the historic fabric and the public while ensuring minimal disruption to this iconic coastal landmark.
